Day Trips
Diving offshore in Galveston is a unique and beautiful experience. During our day trips we will dive two sites that are located roughly 70 miles offshore or a 3-hour boat ride. For our lionfish spearfishing trips we will complete 2 spearfishing dives on the Kraken. and a rig platform or 2 rig platforms.
Why should we spear lionfish?
Lionfish are an invasive species with no natural predators in the Gulf of Mexico, causing significant damage to native marine ecosystems, so removing them is considered a conservation effort. Help us do a small part in helping with conservation efforts for the areas you dive and the surrounding Flower Gardens.
Can I keep what I catch?
Absolutely! Lionfish are tasty!
How long does it take to get offshore?
Depending on seas, it can take around 2 ½ -3 hours to reach the dive sites. The entire day is typically around 12 hours.
How much does it cost?
The cost of the trip is $405 per person. We take 4 - 6 guests at a time. We will provide a DM, tanks, weights, water, light snacks, and a one-of-a-kind gulf diving experience on an amazingly comfortable boat! The shop is happy to provide any additional rentals needed.

What is the size of the boat?
Our trips depart on a 40-foot cabin cruiser with AC
What do I need to bring?
Dive gear, computer, SMB, water, snacks (we recommend a light and a line cutter), pole spear, gloves and lionfish dungeon or bag
What dive skills are required?
Minimum of Advanced Open Water or confident Open Water diver. You will experience a current and greater depths than typical reef dives.
Are any classes taught while on the trip?
Yes! We can offer the Hunter/Collector certification if requested in advance.
Once booked, day trips are nonrefundable and dates are non-transferable unless operator cancels or a replacement for seat is found.
